Jaya Li
Research Assistant
Jaya is currently working as a research assistant with Theraphage lab, assisting with several projects, focusing on the development and optimization of bacteriophage and anelloviral vectors for novel gene therapy platforms. Jaya is also a course instructor at the University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy. Jaya completed her M.Sc. in 2024 at the University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy with co-supervision from the Department of Chemical Engineering. Her project focused on the construction and characterization of a miniphagemid-mediated gene therapy platform delivering an anti-angiogenic DNA-encoded virus-like particle with possible applications for cancer therapy. In 2023, Jaya attended the 13th Summer School on Medicine at the University of Barcelona. She completed her M.Sc. in September 2024.
